Sacred Heart Catholic Church has many groups which make our church the wonderful place that it is.  Several of our ministries are involved in reaching out to our community to share our talents and treasure with our neighbors.  And because we know that we cannot give from an empty cup, we have ministries specifically tailored to help you spiritually grow in your relationship with God and to help with our parish development as we seek to fulfill God's mission for our church.

Notice to All Ministry Volunteers

Because we are both a school and a church, there are very few ministries where a parishioner may serve that does not involve regular contact with children.  If you have a question about whether or not your particular ministry requires Virtus-Protecting God's Children™ training, please contact the Business Manager in the parish office.  Information and forms required for ministry volunteers prior to beginning serving in the ministry are located on the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston website.  Links to the website and forms are included on this page.

Register to attend a training session in sexual abuse awareness

The Archdiocesan Safe Environment Program offers training sessions at several parishes included Sacred Heart in Conroe.. Click on the link to  find a session in your area utilizing VIRTUS Online.

Training for teachers, catechists, coaches, youth ministry personnel, liturgical ministers, and other parish employees and volunteers who have regular contact with minors is a key requirement of the Safe Environment program. Along with these parish staff members, all priests, permanent deacons and religious who minister to young people are required to attend a training sessions.

Archdiocesan volunteer facilitators have been thoroughly screened and trained to present the sessions on prevention of sexual abuse of minors and young people through the highly regarded VIRTUS® -- Protecting God's Children™ program.
