Eileen joined the Sacred Heart staff in 2012 and in her role as Pastoral Associate focuses on development, stewardship, finance, human resources, communication, risk management, information technology, and capital project management. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of St. Thomas with a BBA, Finance and earned the distinction of Outstanding Graduate in Finance.  In addition, Eileen holds a MBA from Sam Houston State University, and is working towards a M Ed in Clinical Mental Health at Lamar University. Moreover, she also holds a Certificate in Church Management from Villanova School of Business, and she holds an Associate of Risk Management designation. She has 35+ years of varied business experience including holding the position of Assistant Treasurer and Manager of Business Development at Hydril Company and the role of Sr. Manager Commercial Finance for General Electric. She is married to Deacon Jeff.  Deacon Jeff was ordained a permanent deacon in February 2019. Eileen completed for academic credit all of the courses in ethics, theology, philosophy, canon law, homiletics, pastoral care, and liturgy with Deacon Jeff at St. Mary’s Seminary in preparation for his ordination. She and Deacon Jeff have been  parishioners at Sacred Heart since 1999. They have two children, Elizabeth and Evan, and a grandson, Wilson. Both of her children attended school at Sacred Heart Catholic School. In addition, Eileen and Deacon Jeff are founding members of the ACTS community at Sacred Heart. Eileen serves on the planning and building committee for the parish master plan and will be forever grateful for having such an active role in seeing our new church come to life.  Say hi to her when you see her around.  She loves talking with parishioners both long-term and new parishioners. Her favorite scripture is Matthew 17:7 - But Jesus came and touched them, saying, “Rise, and do not be afraid.”
